The Hamas movement expressed, on Monday, its confirmation that the Israeli threats to prosecute its leaders inside and outside Palestine indicate the crisis faced by the occupation, and constitute a violation of the sovereignty of the countries where the movement's members reside.

Taher al-Nuno, media adviser to the head of the Politburo, said in a press release that these threats express the difficult political and military situation suffered by the "enemy" as a result of "the steadfastness of our great people and their courageous resistance".

Nono stressed that these threats do not intimidate the movement's leaders, whose "blood and the blood of their families have been mixed with the blood of the persistent Palestinian people".

"These threats are a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of friendly countries referred to by the leaders of the Israeli enemy and a direct encroachment on their security, which necessitates following up the enemy and holding him accountable for his excesses and arrogance,"he added.

The Shin Bet threat:

Ronen Bar, the head of the Israeli internal security service (Shin Bet), threatened to pursue Hamas leaders "everywhere" outside Israel and "eliminate them even if it takes years," recalling Israel's response to the Munich operation that targeted Israelis in Germany in 1972.

In an audio recording broadcast by the Israeli public broadcaster, it was not clear when or to whom bar made these statements, saying: "the mini-cabinet entrusted us with the task of eliminating Hamas. This is our Munich. We will do it everywhere, in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Turkey and Qatar. It may take a few years, but we are determined to achieve it".

"The security responsibility lies with us, and it is our duty to provide and feel security, and unfortunately, on the seventh of last October we were unable to do so, but we believe that we are constantly improving, and we are not waiting, we are taking advantage of those events and applying the lessons learned on other fronts, not only in the Gaza Strip,"the head of the Shin Bet said.

"The scale of the threats facing Israel was unprecedented during the past year before those events, and in those events there were also a lot of things that moved from under the ground,"Barr stressed.

Munich operation:

Referring to Munich, bar was recalling the measures taken by Israel in response to the murder of 11 members of its Olympic team in 1972, when a group of the Palestinian organization "Black September" launched an attack during the Olympic Games in Munich, Germany.

Israel responded to that operation by carrying out a series of assassinations targeting activists and members of the organization over several years and in several countries.

Israel has pledged to eliminate Hamas since the attack of the seventh of last October, which targeted settlements in the Gaza Strip, and has since launched a devastating attack on the besieged strip that left more than 15 thousand martyrs and thousands of wounded and missing, in addition to the severe destruction of residential buildings, facilities and infrastructure, including hospitals.
