Hamas announced today, Wednesday, a temporary humanitarian ceasefire agreement to halt the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip for four days. The agreement, facilitated by Qatar and Egypt, includes a prisoner and detainee exchange deal. According to Hamas's statement, the ceasefire encompasses both parties and involves a cessation of all military activities by the Israeli army in all areas of Gaza. The agreement stipulates the release of 50 detainees, women, and children under the age of 19, in exchange for the release of 150 Palestinian prisoners, women, and children under the same age, from Israeli prisons. The terms also involve intensifying the entry of trucks carrying humanitarian

relief, medical, and fuel aid to all areas of Gaza. It ensures freedom of movement for people, especially on Salah al-Din Street, allowing travel from the north to the south of the Gaza Strip. Other provisions include the suspension of air traffic in the southern part of the Gaza Strip throughout the four days of the truce, and a daily 6-hour suspension of air traffic in the north from 10 am to 4 pm. Hamas emphasized that the agreement was formulated with the aim of serving the Palestinian people and enhancing their resilience against aggression.

The movement reaffirmed that the Al-Qassam Brigades and all resistance factions will remain the protective shield defending the Palestinian people until the defeat of occupation and aggression. Hamas pledged to remain faithful to the blood, sacrifice, patience, steadfastness, and aspirations of the Palestinians for liberation, freedom, the restoration of rights, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital. Earlier today, Qatar announced the success of joint mediation efforts with Egypt and the United States between the Israeli occupation and Hamas, resulting in a humanitarian ceasefire agreement to be announced within the next 24 hours.
