Johnny Somali, an American of Ethiopian descent whose real name is Ramzi Khalid, may face up to ten years in prison in South Korea after a series of controversial events.

He was banned from leaving the country, and his documents were confiscated as part of ongoing investigations after several charges were brought against him by the Korean authorities.

The story of Johnny Somali began when he switched to the streaming platform Rumble after being banned from Twitch and kick as a result of his provocative behavior.

His most notable controversial moves were in South Korea, where he danced provocatively next to a statue symbolizing the victims of sexual slavery, and even kissed another statue, which Koreans considered an insult to the memory of the victims of slavery and contempt for their national symbols.

Johnny was not satisfied with this; one night there were disgraceful situations when his friend Gino participated in harassing and insulting Korean women, as Gino's harassment of a Korean woman verbally and sexually was documented.

The actions of Johnny and his friend provoked the anger of the Korean street and caused confrontations with a group of citizens, during which he was beaten by a former agent of the Korean special forces amid the presence of police who intervened to disengage.

In addition to these incidents, he was charged with insulting statues, obstructing the work of shops, drug use, trespassing on property, and disturbing public order, which made the Korean authorities decide to ban him from traveling for serious investigation.

The Korean parliament also touched upon the discussion of his actions, in light of concerns about the impact of provocative actions of foreigners on Korean society.
