Occupied Jerusalem-50 Israelis who participated in the Nova concert held in Kibbutz Reim in the Gaza envelope area committed suicide, which coincided with the start of the Battle of Al-Aqsa flood, due to the "bureaucracy" adopted by Israeli institutions specialized in providing treatment and psychological support to the 3,800 survivors, according to Israeli media.
This information was unveiled on Tuesday during the deliberations of the Knesset monitoring committee, which discussed what happened between the Palestinian resistance elements and the Israeli security forces in the vicinity of the concert, as well as the assistance provided to the survivors of the events, the difficulties they face while receiving assistance, treatment and psychological support provided by the competent authorities.
The parliamentary committee, headed by MK from the "there is a future" party Mickey Levy, held its deliberations with the participation of many survivors who, during their statements, strongly criticized the behavior of the authorities and the so-called "National Insurance Institution", where their living conditions and psychological plight were reviewed.
According to the data of the organization "Natal" -which was presented during the deliberations of the parliamentary committee - that 679 survivors of the concert events were treated in the clinical unit of the organization, 431 of them are still receiving treatment and suffer from many symptoms such as seizures and feelings of anxiety, reflux, difficulty sleeping, urination at night, muscle pain, chest pressure, jaw closure, nightmares, disturbing thoughts, sleepwalking.
During their participation in the parliamentary session, many survivors spoke about the inability to cope with the situation and developments after the events of the seventh of October, as well as the difficulty of returning to routine and loss of confidence, and the symptoms they suffer are summarized by the psychological and social distress that hit them and their families, according to the newspaper "Haaretz".

Questioning the testimonies
The website of the Israeli Channel Seven, affiliated with the far-right camp, quoted the experience of Survivor guy Ben-Shimon, who said, "there are almost 50 suicides among Nova survivors, a figure that was true two months ago, and there are many people who were forcibly hospitalized.
According to Ben Shimon, the financial allocations he receives from the insurance institution are expected to stop in May. "I don't see myself going back to work, we need continuous treatment, I tried to go back to work 3 times, but the attending physician said that your body secretes adrenaline, me and hundreds of others like me will never be able to go back to work,"he added.
Ben Shimon's statement shocked the participants in the deliberations of the parliamentary committee, as the representative of the Ministry of Health hastened to deny, claiming that the number of suicides is incorrect, and that "the ministry knows that they are less than 10 suicides of survivors of the massacre," as he described.
In the context of an attempt to refute these data on the numbers of suicides revealed by Ben Shimon, the head of the mental health department at the Ministry of Health Gilad Bodenheimer said that "rumors about the number of suicides and the number of hospitalizations among Nova concert survivors are incorrect, and through examination with the relevant authorities involved in the treatment of Nova survivors, it turned out that these data are unknown".
Difficulty coping
During the deliberations of the parliamentary committee, survivor Naama Eitan recounted her continuous suffering since the seventh of October, saying, "I participated in a medical research to check my pulse and other indicators, and revealed to me how bad my health condition is, my average hours of sleep is two hours a night.
Eitan recalled the first moments after the surprise attack launched by the Palestinian resistance, noting that during the events and confrontations she stayed 7 hours under a tree, where Hamas militants were passing by close to her, and during that she called the police repeatedly, saying in her statement, " I was asking the police by phone, Where Are you, why is none of you coming?""Noting that she finds it difficult to cope and return to normal life .
"My head is buzzing and I go back with memories to there, to the events of Nova, I need someone to accompany me all the time, if it weren't for my psychiatrist I wouldn't be here, why should I prove to someone that I went through, detailing what happened to me?" I've been there".
"I have friends who haven't gotten out of bed yet.. They need 24-hour care, support, help and treatment, what is this approach and handling".
Fatal actions
The same experience was reviewed by NASA survivor Orr, who said "We don't sleep at night, we can't do anything in the daytime, and now they come and say that we have to fill out such and such a form, this handling ruins our whole day".
"We are unable to do anything, one of my friends stopped working because of a psychotic episode she had, but the National Insurance doctors did not recognize her as a work victim, I personally have to go to a psychiatrist, but I have an appointment in 5 months,"NASA added.
The Maariv newspaper reviewed the statement of the survivor Yuval Raphael, which highlighted the suffering experienced by those who survived the events, saying, " Why is the suffering experienced by all survivors summarized by the decisions of the national insurance committees regarding disability rates?"".
Raphael explained that receiving monthly benefits for life is only if the medical committees decide to grant a disability rate of up to 20% to the survivor.
"Why aren't all survivors automatically recognized, other than being given temporary disability ratios that are only valid for next year?" Why don't they get the minimum disability percentage Why should they move from the October 7 war to the struggle against Social Security, the judicial authorities, open their wounds for a minimum fixed benefit".
"I have quite a few friends who got less than 20% on these committees," she concluded, adding that she survived the events of October 7, "and I stayed alive not for the sake of not living after that".
