The career of former Portuguese Prime Minister, Antonio Guterres, was crowned with success since the beginning of his working life; where he joined the political work after graduating and obtaining a bachelor of engineering, and participated in the protests that overthrew the government of Marcelo Cayetano in ١٩٧٤, and contributed to the founding of the Socialist Party, and became its secretary general in ١٩٩٢.
Become Guterres member of the Portuguese parliament in 1976 and age did not exceed 27 years after, and continued there until 1993, was a member of the Council of state of Portugal in the period between 1991 and 2002, a prime minister for two consecutive terms from 1995 to 2002. He also headed the organization of the Socialist International in the period (١٩٩٩ -م) after being its vice-president in the period from ١٩٩٢ toم, a global organization that includes political parties from the Social Democratic current.
In 2005, he joined Guterres United Nations High Commissioner for refugees for ten years until 2015, and was a period many crises and conflicts, the rise in the number of displaced persons in the world from 38 million in 2005 to over 60 million in 2015. In October of this year ٢٠١٦ he was chosen to succeed former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, and he began his work as UN Secretary-General in early January ٢٠١٧ for a five-year term, which was extended for a second term ending in December ٢٠٢٧. When his appointment as UN Secretary-General was approved in October ٢٠١٦ Guterres pledged to serve the world's most vulnerable, especially victims of conflict, terrorism and human rights violations.
Guterres ' years at the United Nations were full of work to end conflicts and establish peace, promote development and fight poverty, disease and discrimination, but they did not succeed in achieving anything for the Palestinian people in terms of implementing international resolutions that end their suffering and lift the injustice they are subjected to at the hands of the Zionist entity.

He failed to protect media organizations and their crews of journalists and photographers.
He failed to protect educational, social and charitable institutions.
He failed to protect houses of worship, markets, bread ovens, cultural centers, monuments, farms and water wells.
He failed to stop the direct massacres and the abuse of the living and the dead, the demolition of cemeteries and the exhumation of graves.
He failed to prevent the destruction of superstructures and infrastructure in all its sectors, and to prevent the cutting off of electricity and water.
He failed to enter the international relief, media and health crews and international monitoring committees to find out what is happening, document it and submit it to the competent UN agencies.
He failed to collect evidence of the all-out genocidal war being carried out by the Zionist entity in the Gaza Strip.
This is the tip of the iceberg, because there is nothing left that the United Nations has not failed in the face of the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip. Guterres was quick to condemn the Hamas attack on the settlements of the Gaza Strip in october, but when he expressed his displeasure at the blockade imposed by the Zionist entity on the Gaza Strip, and the huge number of dead and wounded falling there, under the bombardment of buildings around the clock, pointing out that the Hamas attack did not come out of thin air, but its roots go back to a year of occupation; then the Zionist entity's ambassador to the United Nations Gilad Erdan called on him to resign, and described his statements as defamation of pure (Jewish) blood.
