Naval attacks on Israeli ships: escalating tension in the Gulf of Aden and its regional implications
Jewish media reported on Sunday that an Israeli cargo ship was attacked in the Gulf of Aden near Yemen.
Media reported that the ship that was attacked was an oil tanker “linked to an Israeli company.”
According to reports, a suspicious ship approached the tanker carrying eight people “wearing military uniforms.”
The Israeli company said that the incident "appears to be linked to political elements in Yemen."
The company said, "A tanker owned by a British company with ties to Israel was threatened by the Houthis."
It was reported that the US Navy in the Middle East was also aware of the incident.
It is worth noting that this is the second time that an Israeli ship has been attacked near Yemen.
Last week, the Houthis seized an Israeli ship with 22 people on board in the Red Sea region of northern Yemen.
